Just so you know: I haven't forgotten you and I am working on a reply.

Hi

Thanks for the new trailer. I'm working less at my pc lately, so I haven't gotten the chance to send a reply. Eventually I printed your mail, so I could work on a reply whenever I can. I'm half way there. Just to let you know that I haven't forgotten you.

See you soon x

HI there.

Remember when I've said that I found the PP play online, but I lost the link?

Here it is ! Thank you google ! (And I wasn't even looking for it) ;)
[link]

I've checked it again, but I don't think that Tinker Bell goes to Hook. Keeps me wondering why the other versions have added that...

Thank you so much for giving me that link

I’ve read it through now, from Tink’s first appearance till she saved Peter of the poison, and I dare to say for sure it isn’t in there. I think the question that should be asked now is where did it appeared first? Because it’s likely that all later adaptations have copied it from there. The earliest appearance we know till now is in Disney’s PP. So the only thing between left to be checked out is the silence movie from 1924. Talking about Disney’s PP, I wouldn’t say she goes to Hook, because, as you know, she was kidnapped ;) But someone who saw PP 2003, said to me there she went to Hook on her own. Can you confirm that?

Another nice thing I have found: Tinkerbell Movie on Ice:

The movie is just released and there is an "on ice" show already? I like it though. The song is really beautiful as well.

Yes, I know she gets kidnapped, but she cooperates with Hook none the less. Funny that you mention PP 2003. I wanted to tell you that I watched it again a few days ago and I found something interesting.

But I'll answer your question first. Hook and Tink are both spying on Peter and Wendy who are dancing in the sky. Tink is banished and therefore hurt. Hook sees that Pan is loved while he is not and he hates that. "He has found himself a Wendy" Then he looks at Tink and says: "I think you and I can come to an arrangement". (Well, something like that...) Peter and Wendy have a fight. Tink follows Wendy to her little house and obviously tells Hook, because he knows where to find Wendy. He takes her to the ship. There he locks Tink (she's also on the ship) in something made of glas.
I believe this scene is slightley based on Disney's PP.

Now what I wanted to tell you: when Wendy asks Peter about his history (while they are still in the nursery) he says: "... I ran away to Kensington Gardens. That's where I met Tink."
So this is version number two which tells that they met in London.
I thought this very interesting.

This time I like the performance, too. Only thing that is weird to me is that it seems that they are playing the voices of the movie from a tape, and the actors are only for singing. Well, everything around the Tinkerbell movie has been planed long ahead. It’s like a military operation where you start to prepare everything long time before, and then you can deploy all the troops almost at the same time.

I just didn’t like the term *she goes to* because it sounds as if she decided to go to Hook. To me that’s a big difference.

Thanks for telling me in such a detail what happened in PP 2003. To me that looks like major differences towards the Disney’s PP, but I agree that the basic idea seems to be taken from the Disney version. Unless it didn’t appear first in the 1924 Movie. That Hook realizes that he has no one to love is interesting. Gives his character more complexity, and that’s something I’ve been missing on Hook till now. I think when it comes to Tink, all later adaptations are influenced by Disney’s movie. One thing that I have noticed is that in the original novel and play, it was never mentioned that Tinkerbell has wings. The 1924 movie also showed her without wings. But Disney portrayed her as a winged Pixie, and then all later adaptations I have seen show her with wings, too.

Yes, but If I remember right that with Peter and Tink wasn’t said in the Original or the Disney version. So it must be the Movie Hook, who got the Idea first.
